Undas or Todos Los Santos or Araw ng mga Patay (Day of the Dead)
Nov. 1 - All Saint's Day and Nov. 2 - All Soul's Day. These are the days when the family member
gather together and visit the grave or tomb of their deceased relatives and friends.
We cleaned and repainted the tomb and then put some flowers and lit candles as many as we wanted and pray.
It's my mother's grave and the front view
And traffic everywhere because again like "Christmas Time and Holy Week Holidays", it' time for those working and living apart, to back home to their provinces.
I lifted these videos from GMA NEWS (many thanks)
After the typhoon(God thanks it ended soon) People started to went to the cemeteries.
Some tomb were destroyed. Police personnel strictly watch and confiscate some deadly
weapons and liquors and guide the people peacefully.
It's like a camping site. You can see that every family build thier own tent and spent all day and night on the tomb of their beloved. Bringing along some foods to eat, game cards and board, PSP and Ipods.
Some time ago, others were used to drink alcohol and brought loud sounds but now it's prohibited because it cost lots of trouble.
Before the holiday comes, you can see in the market, flower shops, even at the plaza, lot's of different flowers are flooded for sale but the prices are raised sometimes double or triple especial now that several typhoons struck Phils.
Me and my kids came here after hearing a mass.
In this photo.. my youngest bro. in front, my children and some nephew and niece.
No photos of other family because they are shy and my daughter told me to stop
taking photos 'coz she said I might capture some ghost, then everybody laughed.

At the gate of North Cemetery.
Even at night time, still people rush to the cemetery.
In Manila South Cemetery , people just used a ladder to the wall to short cut. this is where my father buried. I can't visit him now but some of my brother and sister will go there.
Seems that in Quezon province, people are still happy celebrating the holiday even the typhoon struck them badly.
Some cemetery were still flooded or under water.

I'm sure glad all of you are okay... regarding the recent typhoon !
Leny, I love your accounts here... thinking that I should divide my blog also...but then there will be too many...one for personal stuff, one for BYJ and one for KHJ and SS501...oh dear !!
Have a peaceful week !
Love, myoce
Dear Leny,
It's interesting to see your kind of tradition about celebrating All Saints Day, as we call it here. Your kind of celebration looks like a feast. Here it is more silent with lighting candles on graves and having sermons remembering those who passed away during the year.
I told you before about a new entry on "thoughts from Ida" I'm afraid I was too early then but now it has been put up on the web site. You will be able to recognise
a certain person in the story.I'm afraid it is rather long this time so you have to read it slow and take your time.
Take care
Ida
Hi Myoce,
Yes all my family are okay. I'm so glad and thankful that our location is very safe from any flood and landslide.
Take your time, one by one , little by little, step by step, you can do it. You're better and have more knowledge than I am.
It's good to be organize.
Okay, have a happy week end ^.^
Love, Leny
Hi Ida,
I'd visit you're blog already. There's a new posting, it's long, I can't read it now, may be I'll come back this evening after my children finish using this comp. Okay?
Hmmm.. another inspirational thoughts. Thank you so much Ida.
Have a pleasant week end.
Love, Leny
Hi Ida,
What a wonderful encouraging words, thank you so much .
Believe it or not there are times that I thought of BYJ is the Jesus of our time.
Can I repost your article in my chikara? I'll do it only with your consent.
Many thanks ^_^

I think I have mentioned it before it is not my blog but I'm part of a team called "His heart for You". It started as a promotion of a book called "Jesus, the Man who loved women" written by an actor called Bruce Marchiano. He is from USA. He is planing to make a film called "Jesus... No Greater Love "
you can find his web site here

Thank you for your kind words about the article. The next one will be short compared to this one.
